About the Position:
We are seeking a Medical Director of Psychiatry to oversee clinical and administrative functions across SCHARP and BAFMA. This full-time role has a 60% administrative and 40% clinical workload.
- Provide direct psychiatric care at least one day per week
- Report to the CEO to ensure compliance with policies and standards
- Lead and oversee psychiatry providers, as well as provide guidance to non-medical staff
- Implement operational procedures and develop medical policies in collaboration with the executive team
- Address barriers to care and improve appointment adherence
- Manage budgets, productivity metrics, and staff performance
- Provide education and training to enhance client care and provider communication
Requirements:
- Board-certified psychiatrist with a minimum of 10 years of experience
- Strong leadership and administrative skills
- Experience in high-acuity and community mental health settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams
