PERM POSITION: Remote Professional Fee Coding Provider Educator

POSITION SUMMARY: This is an advanced level coding auditor position. The Provider Educator will facilitate and provide detailed analysis, reporting, training, education, and support for providers and care teams across medical offices to promote accurate clinical documentation and risk adjustment opportunities identified during chart reviews or analytics. Develop and implement training curriculum for opportunities identified, lead provider training, and develop action plans for improvement. Functions independently with full understanding of all components of the revenue cycle. Completes complex projects of diverse scope and/or portions of large projects. Involves revenue cycle functions for the healthcare enterprise, including system billing, reporting and support.

Minimum Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/G.E.D. required

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree, preferred
• 5 years of recent experience in Provider audits, education, and training.
• 7 years of experience coding professional fee records.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding rules and guidelines.
• Understand rules and regulations governing Medicare billing.
• Advanced Knowledge of NCCI, ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology.
• Strong organizational, planning, scheduling and project management abilities.
• Excellent analytical ability to develop and analyze data to recommend solutions and solve complex problems.
• Experience with Epic and health care applications required. Epic experience required. Demonstrate advanced computer skills.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Required one or more of the following: CPC Source: AAPC or CCS or CCS-P, or RHIT, or RHIA Source: AHIMA Certified Professional Coder (CPC Certification) CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
• CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialists – Physician based)
• RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 7yrs of recent Professional Fee Audit, Education, and Training to Physicians experience.
• 10yrs of’ experience coding professional fee records.
  
  

Working Hours Needed

• M – F 8hrs per day, 40hrs a week, hours 6a-6p in whatever time zone they live in
• Flexible hours during training and prebill review process
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: TBD very competitive, based on experience.

Facility Location

An amphitheater close to the Civic Center in Englewood is the focal point for visitors of this Rocky Mountain town where many summer concerts take place. Englewood is also famous for the “Broken Tree” golf facility with its award winning golf course complete with an 18 hole championship course. Kids love “Pirates Cove” which is open in the summer and includes a play structure, a six lane pool and 35 foot slide facility which includes three different types of slides.
