What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telemetry Nurse (TELE RN) position at AMN Healthcare?
Telemetry RN's monitor patients’ vital signs by reading and analyzing an electrocardiogram, or another life sign-measuring device. Tele RN's are required for post-ICU care. Tele RN’s monitor critically ill patients: most are cardiac cases. Tele RN's typically work in a hospital setting. Tele RN’s care for patients who are out of the ICU, but need their vital signs monitored closely (after surgery, for example).
Education/Requirements:
*Per Diem Pool, 19 nurses needed, 8 hour shifts (7A-3P, 3P-11P, 11P-7A) and 12 hours shifts (7A-7P, 7P-7A), Voice Advantage must be complete before sending profile to account manager, if qualified on VA clinician will float between MS/Tele and ICU units as needed
Education/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education
- You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
- RN‘s can only work with an active state license.
- ACLS and TELE are often required
