Description:
The WMS Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing our warehouse management system to ensure efficient and accurate operations. This role requires a deep understanding of warehouse processes, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to achieve operational excellence.
Essential Functions:
- System Management: Oversee the daily operations of the WMS, ensuring it is functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data from the WMS to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to warehouse and training staff on the use of the WMS, ensuring they are proficient in its use.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve any issues with the WMS, working with IT and other departments as necessary.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute regular reports on warehouse performance, including key metrics such as inventory accuracy, order accuracy, and shipping times.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including IT, logistics, inventory, finance and customer service, to ensure the WMS supports overall business objectives.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, information technology, or a related field a plus. - Preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with warehouse management systems, preferably in a logistics or supply chain environment.
