Description:
The overall responsibilities of the Associate Manager, Memberships are to provide supervision, training, and development to the Membership Analysts, in the US and India, for Amneal and AvKare, and to provide support to the Associate Manager, Memberships and Membership. This position also aids in customer response regarding contract set up at wholesalers and any chargeback eligibility discrepancies. The position is also responsible for protecting the Company's financial interests through ongoing review of key controls to ensure valid pricing is provided to customers and appropriate payments are made to wholesalers.
The Associate Manager, Memberships will manage the creation and maintenance of our customers in our Flex system, which will provide pricing alignment to our new Amneal Direct to Customer software and will provide support to all Amneal Business segments (Generics, Biosciences, Biosimilars, BD, etc.). In addition, the position is responsible for ensuring that consistent and appropriate Class of Trade (COT) assignments are selected and entered into the Flex contract management system, which will feed the new Amneal Customer Master system.
The Associate Manager, Memberships will also be required to be a super user of the Model-N Flex system and be capable of delivering effective training to direct reports as well as support staff in India. The Associate Manager is also responsible to ensure SOX compliance and effectiveness of internal control procedures, policies and Amneal Work Instructions that govern the processing of contract memberships, member maintenance, member COT assignments that drive our government price calculations, as well as chargeback processing in the Flex system.
Essential Functions:
- Set team goals, provide management in the day-to-day functions, mentor, develop and train associates as needed and ensure the Amneal US and India Membership Analysts have the tools to excel in their roles. Manage the set-up, COT assignments, wholesaler contract set up and customer membership disputes for Amneal and AvKare. Manage the day-to-day workload of team members and reallocate workload as appropriate. Review contract language in order determine the most effective way to set up eligibility sets for contracts. Participates in inter-department meetings to ensure contract language regarding membership is appropriate. Ensure all processes are compliant with SOX and department work instructions.
- Researches and resolves issues involving chargeback membership discrepancies and works closely with the contract administration team to ensure correct eligibility sets are attached to pricing so that chargebacks may be properly paid or effectively disputed. Reviews historical deductions to determine if reprocessing is warranted based on subsequent master data updates.
- Communicates with customers to effectively resolve disputes, coordinate system testing and improve communication to ensure contracts membership is correctly set up at the wholesalers to provide accurate invoicing to customers and timely chargeback processing.
- Partner with Accounts Receivable team regarding open chargeback deductions and ongoing account reconciliation.
- Act as superuser for the Model N and AMM systems. Review quarterly release notes to determine appropriateness and usefulness of any proposed changes. Partner with IT to implement any updates.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Obtains knowledge of any Model N or AMM system changes and presents those changes, as well as other issues, to team and leaders within Amneal. Recommend new functionality for implementation.
