Description:
The Membership Analyst role requires the ability to analyze data, use excel skills to identify discrepancy trends and requires good decision-making skills. The Membership Analyst must have the ability to work independently, and the ability to multi-task. The Membership Analyst must be organized, detail oriented and able to work under pressure and meet customer contractual deadlines. The Membership Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate analysis of assigned customers chargeback errors related to customer master data and membership discrepancies, including reconciliation of discrepancies for the assigned accounts. The Membership Analyst must be able to communicate clearly and decisively with customers, co-workers, and management.
Essential Functions:
- Membership Analyst is assigned a customer base and is responsible for the daily processing of chargebacks for those customers. Adjudication of all chargebacks as required by customer agreements, which includes but is not limited to, researching, validating, analyzing and processing with accuracy and timeliness and ensuring all chargebacks receive a credit memo # and are settled in FLEX timely. Responsible for investigating any eligibility or license/ID disputes and potential duplicate lines. Partner with Sales/Marketing to interpret/correct customer contract changes. Works closely with Contract Administration team and customer to resolve any eligibility or license/ID disputes. The Analyst researches customer eligibility using the DEA, HIN and HRSA websites as well as other online searches. Works collaboratively with the Chargeback Analysts, in US and India, to ensure that all contract related issues are handled/closed for settlement for assigned customers. Responsible for processing up to $1B annually with individual CB approvals up to $250K. The Membership Analyst is responsible for researching and determining our customer class of trade, which significantly impacts our government pricing.
- Partner with management to research and reconcile open A/R as it relates to chargeback deductions and work with customers to resolve issues and close out items. Identify offsets to reduce open A/R items. Identify root causes of issues with discrepancies and recommend corrective action to reduce/eliminate, future errors and growing deduction balances. Responsible for keeping open A/R for chargebacks current. The CB membership analyst is a key participant in monthly customer calls to discuss and negotiate any open/outstanding items, including but not limited to, contract eligibility, class of trade disputes, negative CB lines, membership challenges and debit memo misalignment and EDI issues.
- Analyze assigned wholesaler purchases versus CB units to ensure CB units do not exceed the purchases. Appropriately escalate issues to management. Collaborate with other members of the Trade Finance team and contribute to meeting department and company goals. Provide critical data for management projects.
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, Flex system upgrades, membership roster review, customer trend analysis, train new analysts, etc.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School or GED - Required
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) - Preferred
Experience:
- 3 years or more in Chargeback Analysis or similar customer service / finance / or similar experience.
- Other in Chargeback experience
Skills:
- Great communication skills including written and verbal - Advanced
- Able to process information and effectively make decisions - Advanced
- Microsoft Office experience, Excel knowledge a must - Intermediate
