Description:
The Senior Director Oncology - Institutional Field Sales & National Accounts is responsible for leading sales of the Biosimilars and Branded Injectables portfolio for the institutional segment. Additionally, this role will drive and support strategic and tactical initiatives with large national IDNs and GPOs. This role will collaborate and align with VP, Sales on pricing/contracting strategies, quota setting, and ensuring successful product launches. The Senior Director will also ensure alignment with Marketing, Trade/ Distribution and Market Access teams, develop and execute sales strategies specific to Biosciences, oversee the development of region and territory business plans and lead a culture of compliance and adaptability.
Essential Functions:
- Spearhead the development of a comprehensive sales plan for all institutional Biosimilars and Branded Injectables spanning across the entire US. Oversee the execution of sales strategies to maximize results.
- Lead commercialization strategies and account management activities with large national IDNs and GPOs.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, including Marketing, Trade/ Distribution, Market Access, Medical, Patient Support Services, and Reimbursement, to ensure seamless execution of corporate objectives.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high- performing sales team, starting with first line managers. Provide coaching and development to ensure high-level performance.
- Lead the field team's preparation and training for successful product launches, fostering a culture of readiness and excellence.
- Drive demand for the product portfolio while aligning with long-term sales and profit objectives.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Pharmaceutical Sciences, Education or a related business area - Required
- Master Degree (MBA) - Preferred
Experience:
- 15 years or more in Biopharmaceutical industry experience
- 8 years or more in Sales leadership experience recruiting, managing & developing sales teams (in Buy & Bill, Specialty and/or Rare Disease) at a regional or national level. Significant success driving product adoption to IDN/ Health Systems.
- in Oncology experience preferred.
