Overview
Full-time principal management role of Amnion’s Pregnancy Care Medical Center [locations in Drexel Hill and Norristown]. The Executive Director (ED) provides leadership and holds primary responsibility for the execution of Amnion’s mission to bring hope to life by providing life affirming care, compassionate advocacy, education and healcare resources. The Executive Director is responsible for accomplishment of its strategic vision consistent with its core values, healthy growth, and financial integrity. The ED serves as the primary communication link between the staff and Board of Directors with information flow, translates direction and policy into action/results, and promotes a spirit of unity throughout Amnion.
Qualifications:
Spiritual and Personal Maturity
- Committed Christian with a mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, rooted in the Word of God and in prayer, with active involvement in a local church.
- Wisdom, emotional stability, and prior experience in providing spiritual leadership, direction and encouragement.
- A strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life, and the ability to discuss the abortion issue in an informed and compassionate manner.
- A tender heart for Amnion’s clientele, including the unborn, pregnant and post-abortive women, men and families facing unplanned pregnancy, and youth navigating important relationship decisions.
- Agreement with and commitment to all Amnion’s policies and values.
Competencies
- Ability to provide strategic leadership while inspiring others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written skills, public speaking, and ability to represent Amnion to media.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and internet-based applications for day-to-day operations.
- Adept at cultivating relationships with community members from diverse backgrounds.
Education and Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s (required) / Master’s (preferred) degree with significant related experience.
- Minimum: Four years’ experience in a related business or non-profit management position, including executive level familiarity with financial reports, accounting practices, and human resources management.
- Minimum: experience with fund-raising, strategic partnership development, and public relations/marketing.
Major Responsibilities:
Planning and Administration
- Ensure that annual, measurable plans are prepared for each key area of the organization that are aligned with Amnion’s mission, strategic plan, and approved budget.
- Recruit quality staff, and manage staff on-boarding, retention, development, and compensation in accordance with documented processes. Coordinate and oversee volunteers.
- Submit annual budgets to the Board of Directors for review and authorization.
- Oversee all financial matters, including cash flow, accounting records, and financial reports for Board review and approval.
- Ensure all policies are carried out through best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as ex-officio member of the Board. Prepare monthly reports and attend all Board meetings and committee/task force meetings as assigned.
- Travel throughout the four-county area, with occasional out-of-state travel.
Client Care and Medical Services
- Collaborate with Amnion’s Medical Director, Nurse Manager, and medical services team to provide quality, professional client care and ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and the highest of professional medical standards.
- Ensure all client interactions, engagement and services are provided with compassion, discernment and complete confidentiality.
- Engage with the PRC community and local and national pro-life partners to identify new initiatives which provide the very best care for women, men and families facing critical life decisions.
- Lead proactively with a visionary focus toward the development of Amnion’s ministry, both in fostering long-term growth and refining current operations and service opportunities.
Staff Development and Engagement
- Provide staff performance reviews and regular opportunities for staff professional and spiritual development, encouragement, team building, and training in specific skill areas.
- Conduct regular staff meetings for communication flow and information sharing.
- Ensure staff is informed about ministry initiatives and life issues on the state and national level.
- Attend CareNet Conference annually and other relevant training, development and networking opportunities.
Partnership Development and Fundraising
- Develop partnerships with area churches, community service organizations, and agencies.
- Work with the Development Manager and Board of Directors to design and implement annual donor development and fundraising events.
- Communicate and build relationships with donors on a regular basis.
- Actively work to develop major donor involvement and support.
Public Relations
- Protect the mission of Amnion.
- Work closely with staff and the Board to promote public awareness of Amnion.
- Represent the work and ministry of Amnion to the community, local churches, and the media.
- Steward Amnion’s reputation well.
