We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and handling, with a focus on creating high-quality baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods including breads, pastries, and cakes.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes while ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other baking tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Package finished products for sale or distribution, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.

Experience

• Proven experience in food production or handling within a bakery or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with pastry techniques and various baking methods is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the food industry.
• Strong knife skills and experience with kitchen equipment are essential.
• Previous experience in catering environments is a plus but not required.

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
