Job Description
Must have experience using the EVV system and understand it fully.
Job Qualifications:
- Two years experience in health care setting is preferred.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Demonstrate typing ability.
- One year in home health preferred.
- Demonstrates human resources job responsibilities.
- Must have skills in problem-solving/interpersonal communication.
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- File, answer phones and review employees’ personnel files.
- Participate in the exit interview as requested by Supervisor.
- Employee will participate in the Quality Assurance Activities.
- Employee will orientate all employees with agency policies and procedures, including review of employees’ job descriptions.
- Will verify background OIG-State/Federal, Criminal History Checks, EMR/NAR, Texas New Hire Reporting on all direct client care employees.
- Participate in the interview process as requested by the Supervisor.
- Employee will have excellent communication skills and will communicate professionally with agency employees.
- Participate with the recruitment process.
- Will review, modify, and update employee handbook as needed.
- Will maintain and record all release of information regarding employees’ personal information. Will not violate HIPAA regulations.
- Carries out other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Daily adheres to all agency established policies and procedures.
- Daily reports to job assignment and activities and reports to work on time.
- Does not abuse sick leave or other periods allowed away from the job.
- Responsible for reminding staff regarding all employee pending information, expirations, copies, etc.
- Keeps daily log for all employee credential verifications.
- Responsible for keeping employee personnel files in the cabinet and always locked.
- Actively participates in agency committee/projects per year and submits documentation to supervisor at time of annual evaluation regarding human resource activities.
- Has knowledge of entering client information in the healthcare software.
- Responsible for keeping messages as a reminder regarding client data.
- Ensures client data is entered in the software on a timely basis.
- Responsible for submitting assessments to the state within 30 days from the day the supervisor completed assessment.
- Responsible for keeping logs as per supervisor’s request.
- Responsible for informing supervisor immediately regarding client chart corrections within 24 hours.
- Responsible for contacting staff as requested by management.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining all clinical documentation being entered.
- Responsible for ensuring that client documentation corrections get returned to data entry dept. on a timely manner for completion of data entry.
- Responsible for attending staff meetings and in-services, as scheduled.
- Always represents the agency in a professional manner.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
