Mandarin Instructor (Summer Program) – Part-Time
Location: Whitby School, Greenwich, CT
Compensation: $30.00 - $75.00 per hour
Schedule: 1 hour per week for 7 weeks (Summer)
Job Type: Part-time, In-Person
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Mandarin instructor to lead engaging summer classes for elementary school students. The ideal candidate has a background in education and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement interactive lesson plans focused on beginner-level Mandarin.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Incorporate hands-on activities, projects, and discussions to enhance learning.
- Use educational resources, technology, and real-world examples to make lessons engaging.
- Foster a supportive classroom community by building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching methods as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluent in Mandarin
- Experience working with children or teaching in an educational setting
