House Manager – Women’s 90-Day Shelter

Our 90-day Women’s Program provides a structured, accountable space for women working toward sobriety, stability, and self-sufficiency.

As a House Manager, you play a critical role in ensuring structure, safety, and accountability within our women’s shelter. This is more than a supervisory role—you will be a leader, mentor, and steady presence, reinforcing program guidelines while providing support and crisis intervention when needed. The ideal candidate is firm yet compassionate, confident in handling conflicts, and deeply committed to helping women achieve lasting recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Supervision & Support
- Ensure a structured, safe, and respectful living environment by enforcing program guidelines.
- Hold residents accountable for curfews, chores, and active participation in their recovery journey.
- Provide mentorship and crisis intervention, using de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Monitor daily routines and conduct hourly rounds to ensure resident safety.
House Operations & Safety
- Oversee medication distribution and documentation, ensuring compliance.
- Maintain accurate resident records, including house logs, drug screen results, and incident reports.
- Conduct belongings checks for new residents to ensure program compliance.
- Ensure the house is clean and orderly, assisting residents with household responsibilities.
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Maintain clear professional boundaries while fostering a supportive environment.
- Report resident concerns, behavioral changes, and program violations to the Program Coordinator.
- Attend and participate in all required supervision meetings and staff trainings.
What You'll Bring
Must Haves
- Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
- Experience in addiction recovery, homelessness services, or residential programs.
- Ability to enforce structure while maintaining a compassionate, trauma-informed approach.
- Understanding of mental health disorders and psychopharmacology (training will be provided).
- At least 12 months of sobriety for those in recovery (in rare cases, a minimum of 6 months may be considered based on program needs).
