What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chain Account Manager position at Amoskeag Beverages?
Position Information : The Chain Account Manager is the key Amoskeag contact with assigned Chain buyers, selling in packages, promotions, ad features and special retail pricing and other services consistent within the beer category. Additionally, they are the Amoskeag contact for brewery reps assigned to that chain responsibility and act as a liaison to our broader sales organization.
Primary Contribution to Amoskeag Beverages :
Grow sales, distribution and share within assigned group of chains in order to deliver upon broader company goals.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Maintain working relations between assigned chains, ABLLC and relevant suppliers.
Coordinate information for all brewery initiatives to ensure and track execution.
Increase distribution, ad features and sales of Amoskeag products within assigned account base in order to grow share.
Compile and submit reports, timely, to management, chain buyers as request by the VP of National Accounts and Suppliers.
Be able to analyze and recommend pricing and ad block strategy to chain buyers
Assist purchasing department with forecasts and inventory concerns
Work collaboratively across the company to communicate need for support and share best practices.
Ability to collect, interpret and present sales figures to buyers and senior management (internal sales system & Nielson / IRI).
Able to act in role as Category Captain and partner for chain, developing fact based planograms.
Generate ideas and specific programming in order to increase sales.
Able to negotiate and validate planograms; attend and execute planograms. As well as design planograms on your own
Maintain and coordinate reset schedule where assigned.
Prioritize volume opportunities in the chain, based on account potential.
Maintain consistent call frequency, superior customer rapport and follow up with sales reps & buyers.
Be compliant with company policies and procedures, able to manage budgets and control costs.
Communicate consistently with sales department on industry matters.
Provide all necessary POS, signs and program material in advance of the start of programs.
Qualifications :
5 years relevant industry experience.
Able to influence through effective communication.
Excellent verbal and written skills
Goal oriented with a penchant for sales and competitiveness.
Self- starter, team player.
Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite, IOS - JDA and syndicated data (Nielsen / IRA) a plus.
