Position Overview:
We are looking for an Attorney to assist in managing bankruptcy and foreclosure defense cases, drafting legal documents, conducting research, and providing support to senior attorneys. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain hands-on experience and advance their legal career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in representing clients in proceedings.
- Draft and review petitions, schedules, motions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries for senior attorneys.
- Attend court hearings, client meetings, and mediations as required.
- Manage and organize case files and documentation.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and trustees to facilitate case progress.
- Provide legal support on various aspects of law including bankruptcy, foreclosure, debt discharge, creditor claims, and asset protection.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in OH.
- 0-5 years of experience (internships or clerkships in bankruptcy law are a plus).
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for helping clients navigate financial difficulties.
