What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Editor position at AMP'D ENTERTAINMENT?
As a Video Editor at AMP'D Entertainment, you will be responsible for editing videos and creating basic motion graphics animations for our content. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in video editing or willing to learn, proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, and a strong portfolio showcasing their editing and motion graphics skills. The Video Editor will report to the Senior Video Producer, working closely with other members of the team to ensure the production of high-quality educational videos.
Responsibilities:
- Manage video library.
- Work with AI tools such as ChatGPT for scripting/outlining, text-to-speech generators for voice over, etc.
- Maintain a good eye for design, aesthetics, and overall video quality.
- Work with and customize design and motion templates to maintain brand consistency.
- Utilize stock footage and images effectively to enhance video content.
- Create basic motion graphics animations to enhance video content.
- Script, storyboard, edit, projects to completion.
- Maintain, reserve and rent equipment.
- Organize video files, tracking docs, and other organizational tools to track and hand off video files and edits.
- Trim and optimize videos to ensure optimal file size and playback quality.
- Work with the senior video producer to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality videos that meet our educational standards.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop creative ideas for video content.
- Edit videos based on provided scripts, ensuring smooth transitions, appropriate pacing, and seamless audio-video synchronization.
- Adhere to branding guidelines for all areas of video.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics. { or willing to learn }
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Maintain positive attitude and high level of enthusiasm.
- Strong eye for design, pacing, and trimming.

- Demonstrated experience editing educational videos is preferred.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
