Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and order in our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for both employees and visitors. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. 4-5 hours per week, working after 5 pm on Wednesdays and 1 shift over the weekend at a convenient time for employee. Our company does Drug Test Employees.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
- Perform commercial and industrial cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
- Maintain floors through buffing and floor care techniques to ensure they are clean and presentable.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts within the facility.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
- Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to management promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is advantageous.
- Ability to operate floor care equipment such as buffers and vacuums effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
