Position Summary :
Recovery Corps is seeking emerging leaders to join our team of Recovery Navigators. As someone who knows what its like to build a healthy life in recovery, you can help others do the same through mentoring, peer support and resource navigation. As a Recovery Navigator, youll serve at an organization committed to addressing the growing issue of substance use. You will play a crucial role in addressing the challenges of substance use, empowering individuals to build healthier lives. You will engage in professional development and comprehensive skills-based training to earn additional credentials and certificates.
Join our AmeriCorps team on a mission make recovery possible for more Americans! This position is specifically focused on recruiting Navigators and serving those who are in recovery from substance use disorders for 2024 - 25 program year. How Youll Take Action
- You work with others to maintain their progress in recovery.
- Leaning on your own recovery experience to provide mentoring and peer support.
- Assisting clients in navigating social service resources and programs.
- Participate in training and professional development throughout the year, including the Peer Recovery Support training.
- Foster strong relationships with clients to help build their confidence and skills, while encouraging them to have agency over their own recovery.
- Gain valuable professional experience while embedded in a local recovery organization.
- Share your experience with the wider community as a Recovery Corps ambassador.
