Join Our Team as a Recovery Navigator
Recovery Corps is a national organization powered by community-minded individuals who serve as AmeriCorps members. We are seeking a dedicated Recovery Navigator to join our team and make a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
About the Role:
- Work with clients to maintain their progress in recovery and provide ongoing support.
- Lean on your own recovery experience to provide mentoring and peer support.
- Assist clients in navigating social service resources and programs.
- Participate in training and professional development throughout the year, including the Peer Recovery Support training.
- Foster strong relationships with clients to help build their confidence and skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and interactions.
- Collaborate with local organizations to provide resources and support to clients.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage clients in recovery activities.
- Provide education and resources on healthy lifestyle choices and recovery strategies.
Requirements:
- In recovery for at least one uninterrupted year from a substance use disorder.
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
- Able to understand and follow instructions.
- Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule.
