Position: Data Analyst - Level 1 (1-5 years) Duration: 12 month(s) Location: Albany, NY, 12207 - Hybrid 2/3
Project Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with data, string analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights. The Data Analyst will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to support informed decision-making within Canals Infrastructure.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
Collect and compile data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Clean and pre-process data to remove inconsistencies and errors
Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
Use data visualization tools such as power BI to present insights in a user-friendly format
Create clear and compelling visualizations (Charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate findings to stakeholders
Conduct statistical analyses to derive actionable insights
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and requirements
Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and relevance
Implement and maintain data quality checks to ensure, the integrity of the data
Identify and resolve data quality issues in a timely manner
Propose and implement improvements to data collection and analysis processes
Skills
Proven experience as a data analyst with a focus on programming and reporting
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and report generation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Detail-oriented and able to work independently
Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (e.g., Computer science, Statistics, Data Science).
