About The Role
As an AI Accelerator Software Engineer at Ampere, you'll work on the full stack of cutting-edge AI technologies. You'll work on different layers in the AI SW stack including framework integration, compiler, and compute/communication kernel development. You'll also have the chance to work closely with our AI HW architect to codesign next generation of AI accelerators.

The full base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $225,600, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $146,300 and $243,800. About The Role
As an AI Accelerator Software Engineer at Ampere, you'll work on the full stack of cutting-edge AI technologies. You'll work on different layers in the AI SW stack including framework integration, compiler, and compute/communication kernel development. You'll also have the chance to work closely with our AI HW architect to codesign next generation of AI accelerators.
What You’ll Achieve
- In this role, you will work on deep learning model enabling with performance and accuracy for popular frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Llama.cpp, and vLLM, positioning you at the forefront of AI innovation.
- Will go deep into to the entire SW/HW stack to accelerate the deep learning including but not limited to framework integration, compile, kernel development, simulation, and performance tuning.
- Utilize a data-driven approach to focus on an optimization efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve existing issues, and explore alternative, more efficient methods to achieve similar results.
- Be a key team member in building state-of-the-art software and hardware AI co-processors/accelerators, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in AI technology.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related technical field & 8 years of related experience; or Master's degree & 6 years
- Strong expertise in Python, PyTorch & similar AI tools (TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Cuda)
- Experience building and maintaining software benchmarking and integration plans
- A big plus if your experience includes SW development for AI accelerators
- An innovative and creative mindset with a strong attention to detail
