What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radar Software Test Engineer/Analyst position at Ampersand Solutions Group?
Conducts and supports advanced radar technologies, including hardware and software, for strategic and tactical radars used as critical components in air and missile defense and situational awareness. Provides various software and system analysis activities that include test and systems validation, modeling and simulation, requirements analysis, data analysis, and flight/ground test analysis.
Participates in the weekly task review with senior leadership. Understands system performance requirements and their connection to system design. Analyzes data, understands performance requirements, and develops metrics. Assists in the interpretation of data from studies and the formulation of responses to present the relevancy of data to senior leadership. Aides in the formulation of strategies based on analyses from studies. Exercises proficient Microsoft Office skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Develops, troubleshoots, and executes test cases
Required
- ABET accredited BS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science; or related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Radar, Surveillance, or Radar Software Analysis
- Knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis, Patriot, LRDR, SBX, TPY-2, etc.).
- Some travel
- Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance
- Ability to maintain appropriate security clearance
Desired
- Ability to develop requirements, specifications, and other associated documentation
- Scripting experience using Perl, Python, MATLAB, etc.
- Experience with data reduction and analysis tools
- Systems level experience with radar, sensors, and/or similar systems
- Active TOP SECRET Security Clearance
