School Braillist

Hello SLPs!

Come work with a woman and therapist founded and run company! Ampersand Therapy is looking for a Braillst for the remainder of the 2024-2025 School Year!

Job Details:

• In-person, full-time for the 24-25 SY
• Knowledge of Unified English Braille (UEB)
• Working understanding of basic UEB code, utilized in mathematics for the blind
• Ability to work with visually impaired students in the classroom and school environments.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED certificate; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the work
• hold an Associate’s degree or higher (in any area);
• or 30 semester hours; (in any area)
• or a passing score as noted below on the WorkKeys Test offered at Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC)
• Certification from a program providing training in braille and transcribing braille

We are proud to be women, minority, and therapist owned and run. We began our own careers working in the districts and also as contractors. Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
