The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Designer to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The successful candidate will design new or provide sustaining support for existing electrical connectors.
The key responsibilities of the Designer include, but are not limited to :
- Prepares designs and specifications, assists in generation of layouts.
- Prepares drawings and process design changes as required.
- Perform investigations into manufacturing and / or quality problems.
- Helps improve customer delivery and lead time through efficient completion of drawings, specs.
- Interfaces with other departments for the manufacturing and testing of samples.
- Interfaces with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer specifications.
- Reviews customer documents for manufacturing feasibility and compliance and if necessary, prepares new designs to conform to these documents.
- Prepares and coordinates design change approval requests for items under configuration control.
- Collaborates with and supports the entire Amphenol Aerospace Operations design team.
- Keeps supervision informed of status of all activities on a periodic basis.
- Creation, tracking, and completion of product design change notices.
Salary : $45,000 - $70,000
