Engineering Technician
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking an Engineering Technician to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The selected candidate will be responsible for creating nominal solid models to support manufacturing. They will also be responsible for incorporating models into existing drawings and assembly models through Creo and WindChill. Additionally, they will provide technical and administrative support to Product and Process Engineering teams.
The key responsibilities of the Engineering Technician include:
- Providing engineering systems support
- Supporting/preparing and verifying 3D models in support of Marketing
- Offering global and specific administrative and technical support for Engineering Product teams
- Maintaining and updating Creo/Windchill
- Working with international partners to enhance quality of MSQPL drawings and models
- Supporting/coordinating efforts to utilize Engineering Services from India
- Supporting Amphenol Mesa with Nominal models
- Supporting Amphenol Aerospace (Sidney) with nominal solid models
- Learning SigMaxim to provide backup for Customer Model creation
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- AAS Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent education/experience plus 2-4 years of job experience
- Experience with engineering systems, specifications, and procedures, personal computer usage, and the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Working knowledge of Military/Aerospace electrical connectors and relevant specifications
- Working knowledge of Creo and Windchill
