The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Quality Technician to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The successful candidate will support quality functions including but not limited to RMA and rejection investigation and disposition, customer support, customer quality documentation, and monitor quality location inventories.
The key responsibilities of a Quality Technician include, but are not limited to:
- Daily manufacturing floor support
- Technical support of customer quality issues/escapes in relation to RMA's.
- Product review and assist QE with disposition, containment, and work orders.
- Ability to communicate with customers via phone and email.
- Support of corrective action responses based on customer escape issues and data.
- Maintain a working knowledge of product workmanship standards & quality procedures manual.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specs, and documents.
- Determine rework and process work orders.
- Review of rejection trends and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with quote and order processing
Salary: $42,000 - $65,000

The Person -
The key skills and qualities of a Quality Technician at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
- High school diploma and at least 5 years of applicable experience or an associate degree in a technical curriculum and 1 year of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing support is required (equivalent education and experience acceptable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Data3 software
- Physical demands of the role include bending, sitting, typing, lifting, and standing daily (up to 4 to 5 hours)
- Incumbent must pass an annual eye exam, with or without corrective lenses
