Job Summary : Responsible for new product design and development, which includes creating design concepts, 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, prototypes, completion of all required documentation, and product approval and transfer of product into production.
Responsibilities :
- Create design concepts for new products.
- Create all required documentation with the aid of SolidWorks CAD system.
- Ability to take the technical leadership role on customer driven new product projects.
- Conduct engineering related meetings, such as technical design reviews and DFMEAs as required per Amphenol Alden’s Quality Management System procedures.
- Transfer of SolidWorks models, part drawings, and other required documentation to the Tooling Development department for mold tool design.
- Provide technical support throughout product life cycle.
- Work with the prototype lab manager to develop prototypes and iterate the design process.
- Communicate and work directly with marketing, sales, quality, and operations on design details and output.
