SUMMARY Provide professional material planning support by directing and coordinating the activities of personnel engaged in planning of demand, capacity, inventory, and other production drivers to ensure proper management of demand and supply that supports company objectives. Support, coordinate and participate with other functional team members to provide excellent on-time-delivery and customer service. Achieve other company goals and objectives. Supervise production scheduling team assignments and activities.  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for overall production scheduling, prioritization, and tracking/monitoring of production activities. Ensure focus for continuous improvement of working capital, inventory control and production planning systems Maintain ERP/MRP system parameters and processes, generate and release work orders, reschedule by Order Action reports, maintain area capacity plans, and/or provide production forecasts Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and/or external customers in all areas relating to availability of product and resources, Sales Order changes, work order entry and scheduling, committed delivery dates, customer related research and capacity planning in order to communicate and coordinate efforts of the business   Assist the Supply Chain Manager in the Sales and Operations Process (S&OP or SIOP) as well as support CarlisleIT corporate Supply Chain initiatives and goals  Supports key metrics such as On-Time-Delivery, Working Capital Turns and other targets-to-improve or key performance indicators (TTIs or KPIs) Report status and improvement activities regarding capacity requirements, backlog status, order tracking and priorities, raw material requirements, shop floor reporting or other required reporting Establish and maintain departmental procedures and practices to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement Supervise and administrate procedures and personnel in planning or other assigned areas, which may also include stockroom, receiving and shipping as assigned Provide leadership to maintain and improve inventory control including inventory accuracy and proper stocking levels Participate in the Carlisle Operating System. Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner. Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations. Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines.   *Other duties as required in support of the department and the company*   SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES Supervisory responsibilities involve overseeing and managing a team or individual to ensure adequate performance and job satisfaction and contribute to individuals’ career goals.   QUALIFICATIONS  To succeed in this job, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential job function. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.   EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of supply chain experience or high school diploma and eight (8) years of supply chain experience, specifically in purchasing, production control, and/or planning. Background in aerospace, defense, or cable assembly industries favored.   CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification or willingness to complete first module of APICS Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program (or equivalent) within one year of employment is required.   LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Conversational in any other language is a plus.   JOB SKILLS Proficient in MS Office Suite and SharePoint. Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred. Strong material management skills including various levels of planning from Sales and Operations Planning to Execution and Control of Operations/Production Activity Control, Transactional Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Warehousing, Inventory Control, Shipping and/or Logistics as well as critical thinking and problem-solving capability Strong project management skills Exceptional negotiation skills Advanced customer interface skills An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional image Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, part drawing and specifications, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees Portray a positive and professional image and establish relations with a wide range of personalities, cultural backgrounds, and educational levels. Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Apply concepts such as percentages, ratios and proportions to job-related situations Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment while maintaining a positive team environment Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands. Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment preferred. Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teams. A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills with high ethical standards and a positive professional image. PHYSICAL DEMANDS As part of their job duties, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day while frequently using their hands to handle objects and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to reach, stretch, push, pull, crouch, stoop, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. This role requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
