Job Summary
This position will be responsible for coordinating the safety activities throughout the facility. This includes
being directly responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuance of the facility safety,
health policies, and procedures. Standard working hours are Monday- Friday 8 am to 5 pm with
occasional overtime and weekend hours. No travel is required for this position.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversees the safety program and initiates steps that will improve the level of safety.
- Reviews and updates the safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company goals and
- Makes sure all new employees are properly trained.
- Reviews safety related documents and narratives such as Safety Committee minutes, inspection
- Maintains the OSHA 300 logs.
- Maintains liaison between management and outside regulatory agencies in accordance with
- Chairs the safety committee.
- Keeps records of all employee training, corrections of unsafe conditions, dates and results of
- Submits necessary documentation to the corporate office for recordkeeping.
- Maintains all weekly, monthly, and yearly, safety inspections.
- Maintains all hazardous material and hazardous material area checks.
- Maintains the MSDS log book.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer operations skills.
- Basic mathematics skills.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and plant safety.
- Knowledge of CPR and First Aid.
- Knowledge of quality control.
- Required:
- High School Diploma required
- Three Years of Safety Experience
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Preferred:
- Associates Degree or Technical College Degree
- Manufacturing Plant environment where the plants may be dirt, dusty, and hotter/colder than
- Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Occasional overtime or weekends required.
