General Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Stockroom Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing stock levels, ensuring efficient storage and organization of products, and assisting with inventory control. The Stockroom Associate will play a key role in supporting the operations of the store/warehouse by ensuring that all stock items are accurately tracked, stored safely, and readily available for sales or dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments of products and materials.
- Organize and store products in a neat and efficient manner in the stockroom.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by using inventory management systems and tools.
- Assist in conducting regular stock counts and help identify discrepancies or missing items.
- Ensure products are easily accessible for restocking shelves or preparing orders.
- Label and tag products appropriately, ensuring they are stored in the correct locations.
- Assist the sales floor team with retrieving stock when needed.
- Prepare and pack products for shipment or delivery, ensuring all packaging is secure and organized.
- Ensure the stockroom is clean, well-organized, and free from hazards.
- Help with rotating stock and ensure products are stored in accordance with expiration dates or guidelines.
- Report damaged, expired, or low-stock items to management promptly.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining inventory management best practices and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a stockroom or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and move products around the stockroom.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems or the ability to learn.
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and a team player.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
