The Applications Engineer is responsible for understanding and interpreting all customer requirements to the Organization's operations, and ensuring that the organization manufactures a product that meets or exceeds customers' expectations. The Application Engineers work closely with the Business Development Team to evaluate new opportunities and respond to Request for Quotes and Request for Information.
Essential Functions :
- Provide clients with technical support as needed and relay information to our development
- Respond to technical Requests for Quotes and Requests for Information
- Prepare detailed bills of material for costing and configuration of Optical assemblies
- Contribute to sales presentations, as well as demonstrate prototypes and completed applications
- Keep up with advancements in application engineering and new technologies
