What are the responsibilities and job description for the Costing Specialist position at Amphenol Printed Circuits?
The position is responsible for building and loading Bill of Materials into Control Center. Requesting and negotiating pricing for all material /component /service advocating for meeting deadlines in addition to responding to all supplier inquiries related to pricing. Position would be responsible for meeting certain financial expectations and target pricing with component pricing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review BOM to secure quotations; negotiate prices and terms with suppliers; and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities
- Manage process for material/component pricing to meet deadlines
- Maintain accurate item master information within Control Center by reviewing history and make sure pricing is in line
- Collaborate across Amphenol Divisions for multi-divisional price strategy.
- Quoting for CAPA compliance
- Continue to seek opportunities to improve the quoting function and develop relationships with vendors
- Answer all supplier component/material inquiries
- Communicate and work effectively with all members of the costing team in addition to other internal and external contacts
- Support the Purchasing Department with Quote vs. Purchase price analysis
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
- Maintain cost sheets associated with APC connector and price part quoting
Requirements:
- Bachelors or 5 years relevant experience in quoting, costing, and/or purchasing.
- Previous cost and pricing analysis preferred.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Applications.
- Ability to manage multiple task and priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong customer service orientation.
- Prior experience managing confidential information.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
