What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator I - 2nd Shift position at Amphenol Printed Circuits?
This position is responsible for the operation of various technical machinery including SMT equipment, jet solder equipment, selective solder equipment, and/or selective coating equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate and perform simple troubleshooting on the SMT equipment, the selective solder equipment or the selective coating equipment.
- Use assembly specific documentation, including routes, bills of material, and prints to correctly process multiple types of backplanes.
- Carefully follow all machine process documentation and machine safety rules.
- Perform in-process inspections with a clear understanding of acceptance and rejection criteria.
- Work positively with others in the work cell.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement work.
- Comply with department specific safety rules and general Amphenol policies.
- This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
- May be required to cross train in other departments.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years’ experience operating backplane processing equipment.
- Ability to read and follow all short sheets/customer documents.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 25 lbs. safely.
- Independent self -starter, who can work with limited supervision.
- Ability/flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, team building and organization skills.
- Basic computer experience a plus - Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel.
- 1 years’ experience in backplane and/or connector assembly.
