Job Title : HSIO Engineering Technician
Department : Research and Development
Reports To : Manager, Product Development
Location : This position will be based in our Etters, PA office
Summary : Responsible for supporting HSIO connector and OverPass product and process development, customer prototypes, test samples coordination, and fixture development, data collection, design variations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Ability to create test fixtures using CAD software
- Ability to make product design modifications to facilitate customer specific request
- Coordinate and build mock-ups to facilitate product designs.
- Use machine shop tools like mills, drills, and other hand tools to modify parts and tools.
- Make test reports and customer presentations using Microsoft Office software
- Conduct testing, record data and present results.
The ability to question results to ensure data accuracy is necessary.
Education and / or Experience
Associate’s degree or certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Skills and Abilities
Candidate must demonstrate skills and understanding of the following basic connector and cable assembly operations :
Other software such as MiniTab is a plus
Soldering certification is preferred (e.g., IPC J-STD-001 or equivalent).
A minimum of (1) year of practical experience in connector and / or cable assembly manufacturing is preferred.
