Materials Planner
Reports to : Material Manager / Plant Manager Location : Fremont, onsite
FLSA : Exempt Direct reports : n / a
Essential Responsibilities
- Production Planning for several offshore assembled product lines and on-site MEMS wafer fabrication
- Generate and provide forecasts and production build-plans for internal and external customers based on business forecasting and sales backlog
- Maintain accurate production plans and ensure daily updates to stakeholders
- Own the production line of balance considering parameters such as capacity, manpower, lead-time, materials, constraints to optimally plan output
- Interpret MRP demand changes and make modifications to daily / weekly production schedules for MEMS die fab.
- Provide clear and concise data analysis (report or presentation) to support production planning and supply-chain decision making
- Identify gaps, risks and propose solutions to meet plans and schedules
- Review routings, stocking levels, work order activity, and inventory transactions in problem solving activities
- Participate in material and vendor sourcing activities and strategies.
- Assist with establishing new supply base as needed to procure equipment, materials, and products either not available through existing suppliers, or priced preferentially.
- Have unrelenting focus for driving cost savings, improving lead times and quality with key supply chain partners
