Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at a leading packaging facility in Kenosha, WI. This role involves maintaining and repairing production machinery to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and product quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems within a food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, including packaging equipment, conveyors, and production lines.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Inspect equipment for potential issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient workflow and resolve mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders and inventory usage.
- Adhere to safety regulations and food safety standards, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist in equipment installation, setup, and modifications as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in industrial maintenance preferred.
- 3 years of maintenance experience in a food packaging or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
