- Position Overview :
- Procurement Specialist
- you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, parts, services, and supplies to support high-voltage transmission, substation, and distribution projects. You will manage the procurement process to deliver cost-effective, high-quality products while collaborating closely with various departments to meet project needs.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure
- project shipping addresses, field personnel details
- and approval structures are accurately input into the system for PO processing
- Collaborate with departments to understand and meet specific procurement needs
- Negotiate
- pricing, delivery, service, and quality
- with vendors, securing the best available price while maintaining established standards for quality and service
- Select suppliers and procure necessary parts and services, ensuring specifications align with project requirements
- Resolve
- delivery issues
- such as shortages, damages, or invoicing discrepancies by maintaining close contact with suppliers
- Collaborate with departments on
- material substitutions
- make vs. buy
- decisions
- Inform management of
- market and pricing changes
- that could impact operations or budgets
- Assist in
- soliciting bid prices
- from subcontractors for appropriate portions of the project when needed
- Load and maintain pricing information in the procurement system, ensuring accuracy and transparency
- Conduct regular meetings with Project Managers and Job Superintendents to assess material requirements and delivery timelines
- Expedite material deliveries
- by maintaining ongoing communication with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of all necessary components
- Who You Are :
- Bachelors Degree
- in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
- Experience in the
- power utilities or industrial environment
- preferred
- Strong
- interpersonal communication skills
- and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- is a plus
- Proficiency in
- Microsoft Office
- including SharePoint) preferred
- Experience with
- Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat

- Familiarity with
