Your Role: Distribution Designer
As a Distribution Designer, you’ll collaborate with drafters and engineers to deliver exceptional solutions for SDG&E distribution projects. Your expertise will shape power system layouts and help keep communities connected.

- Hourly range: $30–$50/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses (historically 3.5%–11.5% of annual salary).

What You Bring to the Table
- A degree in Design/Drafting or a related field (Associate’s or Bachelor’s).
- Experience with SDG&E distribution projects preferred.
- SDGE Qualified Designer certification or willingness to achieve it within 90 days.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD preferred.
- Knowledge of Power Engineering principles and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Design layouts for power systems using PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
- Collaborate with drafters and engineers to meet project goals.
- Assist in producing detailed project drawings.
- Stay organized and meet deadlines under budget constraints.
