This role is a hybrid work arrangement that requires working onsite two days a week in our corporate office located in Naperville, IL 60563.

What You Will Do

We are looking for a Technical Product Associate (APM – Associate Product Manager) who is passionate about building products that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy. The Technical Product Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the product development lifecycle, focusing on the technical aspects of product creation and ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.

How You Will Contribute

  • Assist in gathering, evaluating, and defining product requirements and specifications, with a focus on technical feasibility.
  • Support the development of technical documentation, including use cases, wireframes, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical solutions meet product requirements and adhere to industry standards.
  • Assist in testing and quality assurance activities, identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Participate in the development of product roadmaps and timelines, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with business goals.
  • Have a strong understanding of customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Be the custodian for the new technology repository of business rules to ensure reusability and scalability so that we build functionality once and launch globally.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of product development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets and timelines.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of project documentation and reporting.
  • Contribute to the creation of product training materials and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing written requirements and assisting in creating/validating mockups, managing their iteration through the design and testing process.
  • Tracks the progress of projects and compiles status reports for senior management.
  • Define and implement an API integration strategy allowing us to expand our feature set.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

The Expertise You Bring

  • 2 years of product management experience, preferably consumer and user experience focused. Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
  • Strong problem solving, analytic, and decision-making skills. Able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and formulate effective actions plans to resolve issues.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at a time. Successfully able to meet deadlines.
  • Adept in Agile development methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and platforms (e.g., programming languages, databases, APIs).
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

Nice to Have:

  • Credit card/Loyalty experience.
  • Experience in fintech/launching digital products.
  • Some experience in product development or engineering roles is preferred.
  • Financial services/payments, ecommerce, and mobile commerce industry experience a strong plus.

Travel Requirements: 10% - 20%

The compensation range listed below represents the potential salary for this role at the time of posting. However, the final salary may be higher or lower than the stated range, and this range may be adjusted in the future. An employee’s placement within the salary range will depend on various factors, including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the needs of the business or organization. The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $70,000.
