What You Will Spark at Amplify
The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting HR operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and contributing to an inclusive and productive workplace. This position involves direct interaction with employees, management, and HR leadership to manage tasks related to Human Resources Information Systems, investigations, employee relations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Conducts or acquires employee eligibility verifications.
- Coordinates and manages new hire onboarding for professionals and shop floor.
- Coordinates and manages employee offboarding procedures.
Employee Relations and Compliance
- Enters data and maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, benefit selection, etc.
- Performs administrative and record-keeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
- Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
- Reviews and implements corrective actions for time and attendance entries and exceptions, including illness, vacation, bereavement, etc.
Administrative Support and Training
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assists in coordinating and scheduling employee engagement activities and community events. Prepares and submits HR related reports, files, data analytics, etc. as requested by HR and leadership across the organization.
