We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Control & Tax Manager to join our team. The Internal Control & Tax Manager will play a pivotal role implementing the internal control processes for the Company. In this role, you will also develop deep expertise in the R&D income tax credit as well as provisions, federal and state tax compliance, segregation duties and other ad hoc projects. This role involves close interaction with various departments within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks and internal control mechanisms across the organization.
- Perform internal control process reviews to identify gaps, evaluate potential threats and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Drive and participate in strategic initiatives related to governance, risk and compliance ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Coordination with accounting firms to prepare federal, state and local tax returns, including quarterly estimates, tax research, etc.
- Prepare, reconcile, and maintain data within various Excel worksheets to be used in calculating the Research & Development tax credit.
- Assist with monthly income tax forecasts.
- Participate in month-end & year-end closing activities.
- Develop and implement new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the accounting department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including preparation for SOX compliance for mid/long term.
