Position Overview:

This company is seeking a Lead AV Technician who will play a critical role in leading technical operations and driving the company’s growth. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in AV systems, particularly with Savant and Lutron, who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities, mentor junior technicians, and oversee the successful completion of projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, contribute to the company’s evolving processes and standards, and ensure excellence in all technical implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of advanced AV systems, including Savant and Lutron technologies
• Oversee and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to process improvements
• Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to client specifications
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact on job sites, managing client interactions professionally and efficiently
• Conduct site assessments, plan installations, and ensure all projects meet safety and quality standards
• Travel to job sites, primarily in Columbia, MO, and the Lake of the Ozarks area, with a company-provided vehicle
• Participate in weekly team meetings at the Columbia office to stay informed on project goals and progress

• Leadership and Team Management: Proven experience leading a team of technicians, managing workflows, and maintaining high performance
• Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with AV systems, particularly Savant and Lutron, with the ability to handle both setup and programming tasks
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AV installations and a strong understanding of networking in AV systems
• Personality and Culture Fit: A leader who embodies perseverance, integrity, and a desire for growth. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicative, and committed to excellence
• Flexibility and Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel to job sites and work directly with clients, demonstrating professionalism and expertise
