Job Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing project objectives, coordinating with teams, maintaining budgets, and acting as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle. While primarily office-based, this position requires occasional fieldwork to support onsite project execution and maintain quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Initiate client contact to assess project scope, preferences, schedules, and resources.
- Project Planning: Review plans, specifications, and codes to define project requirements.
- Estimating & Budgeting: Prepare accurate estimates and manage financial aspects, including progress billing and budgeting.
- Execution & Oversight: Plan, organize, and supervise project activities, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
- Change Management: Prepare and present change orders and quotations for client approval.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with technicians, foremen, and area superintendents to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
- Site Management: Participate in onsite work as needed, maintaining safety and efficiency.
- Issue Resolution: Identify potential challenges and implement corrective measures under company guidelines.
- Client Representation: Act as the company representative in project meetings, maintaining strong client relationships.
- Scheduling: Coordinate technician schedules with other project managers to optimize resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-3 years of project management experience, preferably in construction, low-voltage systems, or technology integration.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical plans, specifications, and schematic diagrams. Knowledge of low-voltage systems and related technologies is a plus.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with D-Tools preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, with a professional demeanor and problem-solving attitude.
- Safety & Compliance: Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures, maintaining high standards of workplace safety.
- Driver's Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean record. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
