Job Overview

This position is ideal for someone who is equal parts relationship-builder and systems expert. We're looking for a sales professional who not only opens doors, but also understands how to scope, specify, and communicate complex AV and automation solutions. You’ll be key in driving new business and creating value for both clients and the internal team.

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue residential AV sales opportunities to meet targets and expand market presence
  • Leverage the company’s strong reputation and showroom space to cultivate leads and close deals
  • Build trusted relationships with architects, custom home builders, decorators, and other referral partners

Client Consultation & System Design

  • Conduct thorough client consultations to understand project needs and technical requirements
  • Design complete AV and automation systems, presenting tailored solutions that align with client goals
  • Generate detailed proposals and scope-of-work documentation for seamless project handoff

Strategic Growth & Brand Presence

  • Develop localized marketing and outreach efforts that resonate with the Midwestern market
  • Represent the company at industry events and build a presence within the design and builder communities
  • Stay current with technologies such as Crestron Home and other high-performance control platforms

Process Management

  • Own the sales cycle from prospecting through system design to contract close
  • Collaborate with internal project and engineering teams for seamless execution
  • Track performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategy as needed to exceed goals

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in residential sales, preferably in the custom integration or AV space
  • Proven ability to scope and design AV systems independently
  • Strong consultative sales approach, with experience working with high-end residential clients
  • Exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • Highly organized, self-sufficient, and able to manage a complex sales process
  • Experience with Crestron Home or similar smart home platforms is a major plus
  • Comfortable navigating a pragmatic, value-conscious Midwestern clientele

Compensation

Base Salary: $50,000–$70,000
On-Target Earnings: $100,000 based on performance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
