This is a hybrid role requiring both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver with the ability to work independently, interact with clients and builders, and ensure smooth project execution. A background in lighting control, shading solutions, electrical, or low-voltage systems is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee lighting and shading control projects from design to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Programming & Installation: Program and configure Lutron control systems (HomeWorks, Athena, Quantum) and motorized shading solutions, assisting with on-site installations as needed.
- Client & Builder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for builders, electricians, and clients, providing technical support and project updates.
- Blueprint Reading & System Design: Work with CAD and Bluebeam to develop lighting control layouts, shading solutions, circuitry plans, and fixture specifications.
- Hands-On Work: Install lighting control hardware, motorized shades, wire keypads, and occasionally assist with physical installations on job sites.
- Sales Support & Consulting: While not a sales role, the ability to consult on solutions and upsell appropriate lighting and shading products is a plus.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in Lighting Control & Shading Solutions: Background in Lutron programming and shading systems preferred, but experience with Control4, Crestron, or similar systems is also valuable. Training support available.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read blueprints, work with CAD/Bluebeam, and understand low-voltage wiring and circuitry.
- Detail-Oriented & Adaptable: The ability to problem-solve on-site, work independently, and shift between technical and client-facing tasks.
