Job Overview
This integrator is seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Lead AV Technician to lead the installations and configuration of advanced home automation and AV systems. This role is crucial in ensuring project success, delivering high-quality results, and mentoring junior technicians.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installations and programming of systems including Lutron, Control4, and AV solutions.
- Technician Expertise: Configure and troubleshoot advanced network systems, including Arachnis and Ruckus, resolving complex technical challenges efficiently and independently
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of technicians to achieve project excellence, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
- Project Oversight: Manage the installation, programming, and integration of advanced home automation systems, including Lutron, Control4, and sophisticated AV solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Client and Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, builders, and architects providing clear communication and updates on project progress
- Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training and skill development for junior team members, ensuring the team remains up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements
- Problem-Solving and Innovation: Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues, leveraging innovative solutions to maintain system performance and client satisfaction
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, as-built diagrams, and inventory tracking
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage systems installation, programming, and troubleshooting, with a focus on high-end residential projects
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, providing clear direction, fostering professional growth, and cultivating a positive work environment
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in programming and configuring Lutron and Control4 systems, as well as setting up and troubleshooting networking equipment (Arachnis, Ruckus, or similar)
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to clients, team members, and stakeholders
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex technical issues, maintain project momentum, and exceed client expectations
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to delivering meticulous work with a focus on quality, precision, and meeting performance standards
- Certifications (Preferred): Industry certifications such as CEDIA, Control4, Lutron, or equivalent are highly desirable
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project demands and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
