The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team of Construction and Mechanical Services Professionals and managing the daily operation of the business. The General Manager or Integrator is responsible for ensuring the cohesiveness of the organization. They provide a steady cadence, a predictable operational tempo, and consistency across departments. In addition to serving as the tiebreaker for the leadership team, they also create clarity, ensure effective communication, drive results through logic-based decisions, force conflict resolution, and ensure that the company operates on a united front. They will work closely with the Visionary (President/Owner) to ensure harmonious integration and work tirelessly to remove obstacles, barriers, and operational impediments for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervisor all Leadership Team members
- Lead, manage, and hold the Leadership Team and Departments accountable for achieving agreed upon daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly commitments
- Partner with the Visionary on short- and long-term planning
- Integrate all major operating functions of the business using EOS, ensuring everyone is rowing together in the same direction
- Resolves issues quickly and effectively – seeing real problems, being comfortable with conflict, calling out problems, and solving problems.
- Ensures the Leadership Team is healthy, functional, and cohesive
- Effectively collaborates with the Visionary to remain aligned at all times
- Maintains a high level of mutual respect with the Visionary
- Realizes the unique contributions and ideas that the Visionary has and possesses an ability to filter and translate those ideas into functional plans for the company
- Work with CFO on all financial matters and advise as required
- Confirms that all key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study
- 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Relevant knowledge of financial accounting systems
- Experienced in organizations focused on providing services in MEP - Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, HVAC, or similar environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (in English)
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving history
- Clean background check and drug screen
