We are a distributor and remanufacturer of components for heavy duty diesel engines. We primarily service emission aftertreatment systems and engine cooling systems for Class 5-8 trucks, heavy machinery, and stationary power units.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Territory Sales Representative is the face of our company in our local markets. Reps are tasked with identifying new market areas, maintaining current customer relationships, sourcing and connecting with new prospects, and working in a team to develop strategies to outweigh competition.
As a heavy duty parts and service provider, key customers include dealers and operators of diesel powered equipment in industries such as transportation & logistics, distribution, refuse, construction, mining, power generation, and more.
This role is a full-time position and will report directly to the General Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aggressively solicit orders from current and prospective customers to maintain and increase customer base.
- Maintain good customer relations by traveling throughout assigned territory to meet with existing and prospective customers to assess and manage customer needs.
- Compile and manage lists of prospective customers in the RubberTree database for use in sales leads through cold-calling and other techniques.
- Penetrate new and existing market areas to maintain and increase sales and market share for assigned territories.
- Develop working knowledge of branch/regional profit and loss components and dynamics including pricing products/service, calculating desired margins and cost of products/service.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of heavy duty truck parts and service pricing, costs and application with a focus on our two core product lines: aftertreatment & engine cooling.
- Develop and exhibit proficiency in commercial placement, customer needs analysis, customer upgrades and customer retention.
- Maintain awareness of the activities of all competitors.
- Assist with the identification and implementation of price increases for substandard accounts.
- Participate in business related meetings, conferences, social functions and civic organizations to boost the overall exposure of our company.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of quota-bearing sales experience, preferably in an industry centric to diesel-powered trucks/equipment.
- Previous experience in OEM or aftermarket parts and/or fleet account management required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Must be able to provide at least two recent references.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Compensation will be split between a highly competitive annual wage (paid bi-weekly) and performance-based commission incentives (paid quarterly).
