President, Amplity Communications (Comms)
Purpose of Role
The President of Comms is a critical position for Amplity, accountable for leading an impactful and prestigious communications agency. Through the delivery of strategic offerings and multichannel communications products, this leader, along with their team, works with media buying, medical affairs, and brand executives in pharma and biotech to establish communications strategies and become a communications partner of choice. Leading a high performing team to deliver on the business strategy is a must to ensure business line growth and profitability.
As part of the business line's growth goals, the President of Comms is responsible for ensuring the quality of media and agency deliverables. This executive will also work with the larger Amplity leadership team to develop and commercialize new offerings, driving revenue growth and client engagement.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and lead a strong, appropriately structured, Comms organization that has the vision, strategic plans, processes, success measures, talent, and market relevant offerings for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry to effectively drive business growth and mature with the company over time.
- Manage all financial aspects of the business including forecasting and contributing to To Be Gained (TBG). Pursue opportunities to advance client relationships and agency business.
- Drive a culture of high performance and transparency aligned with our company's values. Assess talent to deliver against the business lines vision, strategic plans, processes, success measures.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making and optimize client outcomes.
- Hold final accountability for the quality of all materials and assets that the agency delivers.
- Ensure the strength of relationships for integrated accounts, actively engaging with client leadership to maintain strategic alignment across brands or portfolios. Establish solid working relationships for non-integrated accounts.
- Collaborate with business and support functional leaders across Amplity to increase efficiency and drive the successful development and sale of integrated offerings.
- Coach and Mentor team leaders to enhance their communication skills and refine strategies to meet client and organizational needs. Lead key client meetings and co-lead new business pitches.
- Partner with corporate marketing on branding awareness and evolutions.
- Support Amplity's Chief Growth Officer in ensuring the Comms sales team has the product and offering exposure to be successful.
- Integrate, and when needed consolidate or revise, marketing and communication tools and technologies used by Comms to align with Amplity's corporate IT standards for compliance and security.
- Ensure the team takes responsibility for integrating and leveraging Comms customer and prospect data into Amplity's unified CRM platform to ensure a single source of truth for the company.
