Position Overview :
Amplytics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Developer Consultant specializing in Power Query, data pipeline creation, and semantic modeling. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience scripting M-Code to solve complex data pipeline challenges, developing robust dataflows, and leveraging Microsoft Fabric for scalable solutions. This role requires technical expertise and a strong consulting background to effectively communicate with clients, gather requirements, and deliver tailored solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Consulting & Engagement : Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business requirements, challenges, and data objectives. Translate these needs into technical specifications and Power BI solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Data Pipeline Development : Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines using Power Query and M-Code. Implement scalable and efficient solutions for integrating data from diverse sources, ensuring high data quality.
- Power Query Expertise : Use advanced Power Query techniques to clean, transform, and shape large datasets—Automate data preparation workflows to ensure data reliability while clearly communicating solutions and their benefits to stakeholders.
- M-Code Scripting : Develop custom M-Code scripts for advanced data transformations and problem-solving. Ensure robust data processing and seamless integration across various environments to meet specific client requirements.
- Semantic Modeling : Design and implement semantic models within Power BI, ensuring users interact with clean, well-structured data. Explain the benefits of semantic models for improving data accessibility and report performance in client environments.
- Dataflow Creation : Develop and manage Power BI Dataflows to centralize and reuse data transformation logic, providing consistent and scalable data solutions tailored to client use cases.
- Microsoft Fabric Utilization : Leverage Microsoft Fabric to improve data connectivity, manage large data volumes, and ensure smooth data pipeline operations. Explain the added value Fabric brings to the client’s data architecture.
- Report and Dashboard Development : Collaborate with business users, analysts, and client stakeholders to design intuitive and interactive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights. Customize these reports to fit the client’s needs.
- Documentation & Best Practices : Maintain clear documentation of data pipelines, M-Code solutions, and semantic models. Ensure clients have access to best practices and training in Power BI development to maintain their solutions post-implementation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with internal teams and client-side stakeholders, including data engineers and business analysts, to align on project requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
