This will be working Friday - Sunday 5:00am-5:30pm. This shift receives a 10% shift differential.
The Maintenance Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient functioning of production equipment and machinery through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting. This position involves collaborating with various departments to address equipment issues promptly and maintain optimal operational conditions. The incumbent will also oversee spare parts inventory and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and oversee timely repairs and improvements.
- Maintain records of preventative maintenance, breakdown reports, and part usage, while investigating root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment problems.
- Manage spare parts inventory and utilize computerized maintenance management systems.
- Conduct basic equipment engineering evaluations and propose design alterations for product and process improvement.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment, building, and safety systems.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors for specialized repairs and installations.
- Lead Lean 5S initiatives to enhance workplace organization and efficiency.
- Provide coaching on basic maintenance procedures to team members.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring confidentiality of all matters.
- Fulfill other duties as required.
Education
- Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent education and experience.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and hydraulic flow diagrams.
- Electrical, up to 480v three phase.
- Knowledge of welding principles and equipment operation.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.
- Visual acuity and auditory capabilities necessary for effective communication and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work at heights, in various weather conditions, and on uneven surfaces.
- Comfortable with bending, stooping, crawling, twisting, and pushing.
- Willingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to, shoes/boots, hard hats, harnesses, and respirators.
